CAE20: “Awakening”

…is now LIVE! Tell your friends!

I decided to bring back the series because of a) fan demand and b) this isn’t the first time I stopped drawing this comic and decided to work on it again after writing story ideas during my hiatus. While on hiatus, I got caught up on my video games, especially “Fire Emblem: Awakening” for the Nintendo 3DS. It’s really good! Although it’s early June, think of this episode as being set in late February for the IMMERSION factor (also that was around the time I picked up this game and wrote about it).

I wrote a few more stories as well, and I’ll draw them out as I find the time. Right now, I’d like to focus less on schedules and continuity and more time on writing fun stories, most of them involving side characters. I hope you all don’t mind. Well, enjoy the comic! (I am currently at the Endgame. Wish me luck!)

CAE19: “After The End…”

…is now LIVE

This is the third and final part of a three part holiday special. It is also the end of the series as we know it. I hate myself for being horrendously off-schedule with this comic but nevertheless I hope you enjoy reading it.

Thank you for supporting “Children Are Evil” to the very end. Let’s try this again sometime.

CAE17: “THE END?”

…is now LIVE

This is the first of a three part holiday special. It is also the beginning of the end.

It’s not easy typing this out, but “Children Are Evil” will end on December 28. Although I’m not tapped out of ideas regarding Jeremy and Feng, there are other goals I want to achieve that I cannot do due to the busy schedule of making a serial. While a number of people do enjoy this comic, I personally feel as though it didn’t meet personal expectations and that I could have done better on my end to meet these expectations. I’d understand completely if any of you are upset by this news. But I just want to say that I’m sorry and that I hope you’ll all forgive me and stick with me in the future.

I want to thank everyone who helped make “CAE” a success, including Jose Lopez, Anthony Fowler, Josh Blair, MC Kido, Team Jump, Donni Smith, Jennifer R. Pedro, Vent Viz Chance, Hector Hernandez, the Frumious Bandersnitch, my family and everyone else who has read the comic, spread it around to their friends and even followed this page on Tumblr. I love you all.

I hope you all enjoy this episode. I’ll try my best to not do a half-assed job with the finale.

Like the previous episode regarding the adult bookstore, this is something you shouldn’t read if you’re under 16 or dislike vulgar content. Otherwise, enjoy.

CAE14: “Welcome to OranCon 2012”

…is now LIVE

Convention season is coming to an end, and I will personally be attending Anime Weekend Atlanta next weekend (Sept. 28 - 30) with my friend (and occasional “CAE” helper) Jose and the rest of the crew to have fun and promote this comic shamelessly. If you’re attending and you wanna say hello to me and the crew, feel free to do so. Just try and find me though. ;)

Hint: I’ll be hiding out at a Waffle House nearby the convention on Saturday evening. Look for an afro.

By the way, if you liked the “Pakuman.” arc, then think of this episode as the epilogue. Enjoy!

Each episode in this arc will be six pages long, in which it will revert back to four pages once episode 14 arrives. The final episode of this arc will be released on the 7th of September. CAE Character Guide 5: Love

Welcome to Part 5 of the “Children Are Evil Character Guide”. If you’ve missed the first four parts, then I suggest you read them now.

Aside from reading the previous parts of this character guide, I hope you’ve read CAE 7 & 8 because there will be spoilers.

Jeremy’s mom, real name Carmen Gerrity, is 39 years old and works at home as an accountant. She is also the mother of Jeremy’s older brother, who hasn’t been introduced yet and is also the wife of Jeremy’s father who also hasn’t been introduced. Carmen’s pet peeves are trash television, working while sick and constantly trying to Jeremy in check. Nevertheless, she loves her son unconditionally.

Fun fact: Despite not being a fan of trashy TV, she is a fan of equally trashy romance novels.

Is that person a girl or a boy? Salvatore Hyman, age 22, is a rather androgynous individual. He is also male. But some people, like Jeremy, have confused him as a woman while jogging at Orange Park Park due to his ponytail, fair looks and slender body. Despite jogging daily at the park, Sal is a habitual smoker, which leads to people who spot him in the background as the lone Cigarette Man.

Fun fact: Like Rose, Sal was from a previous comic I’ve written, as a random background character similar to Eiichiro Oda’s “Pandaman”. He is still my personal Waldo when it comes to busy backgrounds. Feel free to look for him in future episodes—and to make this easy, don’t bother checking episodes 1 through 13. He ain’t there.
